Oby Ezekwesili has reacted to the report of operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) allegedly arresting the former Presidential candiate of the African Action Congress (AAC) Omoyele Sowore, over a planned protest on August 5.
Recall we reported earlier that DSS operatives allegedly stormed Sowore’s Lagos home in the early hours of Saturday, in what many saw as an attempt to frustrate the scheduled protest.
Reacting to the alleged arrest of the AAC’s presidential candidate in the February 2019 General Elections, Oby Ezekwesili warned against the'unconstitutional habit of repression against citizens rights'.
She tweeted;
“@AsoRock ought to know that they cannot sustain this unconstitutional habit of repression against #CitizensRights.
“All these persistent acts of @NGRPresident to shrink the Public Space with rabid level of intolerance for dissension will surely fail.”
