From a credible source, a prominent lecturer in the department of Mass Communication, Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, identified as, Mr. Babatunde Isamuko, has chosen to resign his appointment after tolerating several years of the school Management’s injustice.

Since his appointment in 2008, Mr. Babatunde Isamuko has been discharging his duties as a lecturer, made several sacrifices as a father to countless students and has played his role in creating a better future for the younger generation as a concerned stakeholder through mentoring.

It is however unfortunate to discover that the employer of this humble servant was and still denying him his entitled rightful promotion.

Information has it that this man who recently submitted his resignation letter to the H.O.D’s office has been robbed of his entitled promotion, at least thrice without a tangible reason.

It is laughable to discover that this lecturer of good standard who has a Bachelors’ Degree in Mass Communication (UNILAG) and a Masters’ Degree in Political Communication is being denied promotion where people of lesser credentials get elevated promptly.

Maybe all men are not equal.

Due to this injustice some Academic Staff members who were Babatunde Isamuko’s junior colleagues few years ago are his current seniors due to the refusal of the school Management to elevate him to a status that befits his experience and credentials.

The height of this injustice is the usual issuance of a “Letter of a Principal Lecturer” to Isamuko for cover-ups during accreditation, in order to block the visiting officials from knowing that the department has no Senior Official.

Now that the school management seems to have finished using this gentle man, it is about to trash him like a worthless piece of disgusting rag.

Unlike saner climes where Mass Communication departments are filled with Professors, Phd. and top Master’s Degree holders, it is pathetically unfortunate to discover that OSPOLY has finalized moves to frustrate its most experienced, qualified and performing lecturer out of the system.  

For the sake of the innocent students who are benefiting from this uncommon teacher’s wealth of knowledge and experience, the school management is however to as a matter of fact reject Babatunde Isamuko’s resignation letter and act promptly to his promotion requests to prevent him from leaving the department now that he is needed the most.
