Marcos Rojo has made it known that he wants to stay at Manchester United and believes he is in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plans, despite holding recent chat with Boca Juniors.

The Argentinian defender has played just eight matches for Manchester United in all competitions this season, with Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof becoming the first choice centre-backs at Old Trafford.

The 29 year-old signed a three-year contact extension back in 2018, prior to which he featured sporadically in the United squad and was on the sidelines for seven months with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
“For now I would like to stay at Manchester United,” Rojo told El Dia.
“I talked to the manager before the end of the season and we talk about his plans for me.
“He made it known that I was in his plans, that I’m an important player and that he wanted me to return to full fitness, to be able to count on me in the first team.
“It’s now time to rest and spend time with my family before returning to England.”
