Members of the old students association of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree on Saturday elected Mr. Adenrele Adegboye as its president, at an election which held at the NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

It was gathered that Adegboye who currently works in the institution as the portal manager emerged unopposed with 212 votes.

Also, Odeyemi Anthony emerged as the association's National Secretary with 177 votes, to defeat Ayinde Olukayode who polled 71 votes.

Adebowale Sunday also recorded 196 votes to win the Financial Secretary post - he defeated Yekeen Kayode who had 39 votes.

Adegboye and other newly elected executives were immediately sworn in by the association's legal adviser, Barrister Abiodun Olaide.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected  President thanked all members of the association who took part in the election for their time and good conduct throughout the process.

He noted that all the members of the association who were present at the event, demonstrated their love for the association and respect for Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.

He pledged his commitment towards making the OSPOLY old students association greater by laying a better foundation to make it thrive.

He said, "You will not regret voting us, we shall work to make the association open and create functioning state chapters.

''I promise that very soon when we will be called to give our stewardship reports, you will be proud of us" He said.
